Cara McVie is a Partner and the CFO at Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI), where she directs the fiscal functions of the company.
Previously, Cara was CFO and Managing Director at The Glover Park Group, a communications consultancy, where she supported the company through 13 years of growth and two significant transactions. Prior to her roles as CFO, Cara’s background was in corporate strategy and investing. She started her career as a consultant with Bain and Company, a global strategy consulting firm, where she worked on corporate growth, profit improvement, and M&A strategies for worldwide clients in a mix of industries. While there, she spent two years working abroad in Bain’s Paris and Sydney offices. After attending business school, Cara joined Capital Research and Management, managers of the American Funds, where she worked as an Investment Analyst in the medical technology space.
Cara received her M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. She graduated with Highest Honors from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, through which she completed a summer internship in the Champagne region of France.
Cara is Treasurer of the board of St. Ann's Center for Children, Youth, and Families, a women-led residential program in Hyattsville, Maryland, which provides women and their children with transitional housing, educational support, and childcare.
