Associate Product Manager at Bulgin

Thisen Bird EngTech MIMechE has diverse work experience in various engineering roles. They started their career at National Oilwell Varco as an Apprentice Service Technician, where they gained hands-on experience servicing and inspecting various equipment. They then worked as an Assistant Driller at Arcadis, assisting the lead driller on drill rigs across the UK and Europe. At Cambridge Fluid Systems Limited, they served as a Mechanical Technician, fabricating manifolds for gas and liquid flow systems. They later joined Silverwell Energy Limited as an Engineering Technician, supporting different engineering groups and working on projects related to check valve systems. At Owlstone Medical, they held the role of Calibration Technician. Currently, they are employed as a Project Engineer at Bulgin, where they are actively involved in project management. With their diverse experience and technical expertise, Thisen is a versatile and well-rounded engineer.

Thiesen Bird EngTech MIMechE's education history is as follows:

Thiesen attended Lowestoft College from 2012 to 2013, where they completed a NVQ Level 2 Mechanical Engineering Diploma and a Level 2 Mechanical Engineering Diploma in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

From 2013 to 2015, Thiesen continued their education at Lowestoft College, earning a Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Diploma and an NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Extended Diploma, both in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

Thiesen then enrolled at the University of Suffolk and pursued a HNC in Mechanical Engineering from 2017 to 2019.

Following the HNC, Thiesen completed their HND in Mechanical Engineering from 2019 to 2021, still at the University of Suffolk.

Currently, Thiesen is studying at the University of East Anglia, working towards a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Engineering Design. This program began in 2021 and is expected to conclude in 2023.

Additionally, in October 2018, Thiesen obtained certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies from the IPC-Association Connecting Electronics Industries.
