Ivaylo V. is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in risk management and supervision within the banking and financial sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer at the Bulgarian National Bank since September 2007, Ivaylo oversees risk management related to the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves. Prior to this role, Ivaylo worked as a Senior Risk Analyst at the Financial Supervision Commission from June 2004 to August 2007, focusing on the supervision of private pension funds, and as a Financial Auditor at the National Social Security Institute between June 2001 and May 2004, auditing state social security funds. Ivaylo holds a Master's degree in Finance from "D.A.Tsenov" Academy of Economics and a Master's degree in Law from "St. Cyril and St. Methodius" University.
