Jun Yao is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within the technology sector. Currently serving as SVP of Engineering and CTO at Bukalapak since May 2021, Jun Yao previously held various positions at Freelancer.com between 2011 and 2021, culminating as Vice President of Engineering. Jun Yao's early career included research assistant roles and teaching positions at the University of New South Wales, alongside technical experience as a Network and Software Engineer at Guangzhou Huadong Banner Technology Enterprise. Jun Yao holds a Ph.D. in Mobile Computing and Vehicular Communications, an M.I.T. in Internetworking, and a Bachelor’s in Automation from the South China University of Technology.
