Rafael Valerio has been in the software development industry since 2009. Rafael began as a Web Developer at Inovy Soluções em Tecnologia IP, working on client and server functionalities for a live video sharing platform. In 2011, they moved to Webgoal Aplicações e Soluções Web as a Software Engineer Trainee, working on a product called Granatum. Rafael then moved to Ateliê de Software, where they were a Senior Web Developer, developing a new web platform and mobile app for EducadoraFM radio station. In 2016, they joined REA Group as Lead Developer for the realcommercial.com.au Customer delivery team, and they also held the roles of Senior Software Developer and Developer. In 2021, they joined BuildPass as Lead Developer, and they also joined Bunnings as Lead Developer.

Rafael Valerio obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from PUC Minas between 2008 and 2011.
