Farooq Mahmud has extensive work experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Farooq is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Atrius since 2022. Previously, they worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Marel from 2018 to 2022 and at Walmart from 2021 to 2022. Farooq also held the position of Lead Software Engineer at Rooster Park Consulting in 2018, where they led a team in delivering APIs for a health insurance provider. Returning to the field of computer science, Farooq Mahmud enrolled at the University of West Florida in 2020 to further enhance their knowledge and skills. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science, which is expected to be completed in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Farooq Mahmud has obtained several certifications. Farooq demonstrated their proficiency in Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions through the Microsoft Exam 534, which they successfully completed in June 2017. Furthermore, they received certification for Functional Programming Principles in Scala through a course offered by Coursera Course Certificates in January 2017. Mr. Mahmud also acquired the title of Sitecore XP 8.0 Certified Professional Developer after completing the necessary requirements set by Sitecore in May 2015. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Certified Scrum Developer from the Scrum Alliance in June 2016.

Although information regarding the completion months and years is unavailable for some certifications, Farooq Mahmud also holds certifications such as MCITP: Database Administrator 2008, MCTS: Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Database Development, and Microsoft Certified Application Developer for .NET. Moreover, they have achieved competence in Angular.js through the completion of the "Shaping up with Angular.js" course offered by Code School.
