Illya Azaroff, FAIA, serves as the Member Board of Directors at The American Institute of Architects. With a background in architecture, geography, and design, Azaroff is also the Director of Design, Resilience, and Regenerative strategies at +LAB Architect PLLC. In addition, Azaroff is a Professor at City University of New York, State Disaster Coordinator and President at AIA New York State, and a member of various advisory boards related to sustainability and disaster mitigation. Certified trainer of HURRIPLAN Resilient Building Design for Coastal Communities, Azaroff has a focus on creating resilient and regenerative solutions for the future.
