Rajesh Kumar R. has over 14 years of work experience in the scientific field. Rajesh Kumar began their career in 2008 as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at MoES - Drugs from the Ocean. In 2013, they became a Postdoctoral Trainee and PDF - Invictus Oncology (now Akamara therapeutics) & AIIMS, New Delhi - Collaboration, where they were responsible for pre-clinical drug development, including pharmacokinetic studies in rabbits and in-vitro biotransformation studies. Rajesh Kumar also had research experience in animal cell culture techniques, biomarker discovery, ocular pharmacology, retinoblastoma model, and screening of bioactive compounds from marine sources.

In 2017, Rajesh Kumar R. became a Scientist - Ex-vivo Cancer Biology & Assay Development at Mitra Biotech, where they tested various chemo/immunotherapeutic drugs in tumour explant-immune cell co-cultures towards personalised medicine in a clinical trial study. Rajesh Kumar handled more than 1500 clinical samples of various cancer indications and tested numerous immuno-therapeutic drugs, small molecule inhibitors, and other IND compounds in the platform for various major biopharma client projects.

From 2019 to 2020, Rajesh Kumar R. worked as a Scientist and Team Lead (Cancer Biology and Core R&D) at Farcast Biosciences. Rajesh Kumar was involved in designing various R&D projects in 3D explant - immune cell co-culture, results interpretation, and data presentations. Rajesh Kumar also developed and evaluated a slicing tool which could replace usage of vibratome sectioning up to 450-700 microns thick sections from solid tissue.

Rajesh Kumar R. then worked as a Senior Scientist at Mestastop\u2122 Solutions and GeneLife Molecular Laboratory (ISO 15189:2012), Vijay Sai health Care Pvt. Ltd. from 2020 to 2022. Rajesh Kumar is currently a Senior Scientist at Bugworks Research Inc.

Rajesh Kumar R. has a diverse educational background. Rajesh Kumar started their academic journey in 2002 when they obtained their MSC-integrated degree in Biotechnology from Annamalai University. Rajesh Kumar then went on to pursue a PhD in Marine Biotechnology from the same university, which they completed in 2012. In 2013, they began a postdoctoral research officer position at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where they worked on an industrial collaborative project with Invictus Oncology, New Delhi, in the field of preclinical drug development. Rajesh Kumar completed this position in 2015. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in ISO-IEC-17025:2017, Quality management system and internal auditor training from the Quality and Accreditation Institute.
