Stephan Buffington CSP, ASP, CHST is an experienced professional in health, safety, and environmental management, currently serving as the EHS Field Manager at Veolia since November 2022 and the Corporate Contractor Safety Manager at Buckeye Partners since February 2021. Previously, Stephan held various safety leadership positions, including Regional Safety Leader at Hargrove Engineers + Constructors, Lead Health and Safety Specialist at Baker Hughes, and HSSE Coordinator at Nexen Inc., among others. Throughout the career, Stephan has consistently improved safety management systems, ensured OSHA compliance, managed emergency response teams, and coordinated contractor safety management. Stephan possesses a degree in Biological and Physical Sciences from the University of Houston-Downtown.
