Matthew Rady has a strong background in finance and executive leadership. Matthew is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of BT since October 2021. In addition, they hold the position of Vice Chairman and Non-Executive Director at JDRF Australia since November 2021 and March 2021, respectively. From 2018 to 2021, Matthew Rady served as the CEO of Allianz Retire+, where they focused on providing flexible retirement solutions for Australian retirees. Before that, they were the Non-Executive Chairman at Stake from 2017 to 2019. Prior to their role at Stake, they were the Global Head of Financial Markets at IRESS from 2014 to 2017. Matthew Rady's extensive experience in the banking and financial services field includes 18 years at Macquarie Group, where they held various senior positions and was part of the Executive Committee. Matthew also gained experience as a Business Analyst at Credit Suisse and as a Business Services Accountant at Ernst & Young.
Matthew Rady attended the University of Adelaide from 1987 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Economics (BEc) degree, specializing in Economics. Matthew later enrolled at the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia from 1992 to 1993. In 2013, they furthered their education at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Additionally, they pursued a field of study in Investments and Securities at FINSIA starting from 1996, but no specific end year was provided for this program.
