Valerie A. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in care management and social work. Currently serving as the Manager of Comprehensive Care Management at Baylor Scott & White Health since June 2018, Valerie oversees a multidisciplinary team focused on supporting the commercial patient population within an Accountable Care Organization (ACO). Valerie previously held supervisory roles within the same organization, successfully implementing LEAN strategies to improve various performance metrics. With prior experience as a Long Term Care Ombudsman and various roles in social work and community service settings, Valerie has developed strong skills in patient advocacy, regulatory knowledge, and team leadership. Valerie holds a Master's degree in Social Work with a certificate in Gerontology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from Millikin University.
