Tomas Lestrup has had a diverse work experience. Tomas started their career as a farmer at Syracuse & Jenkins from 1980 to 1982. Tomas then worked as the Marketing & Publisher at Photomagazine from February 1990 to June 1993. After that, Tomas founded Bsmart - Creative Partner in March 1995, where they held the role of Founder and Owner. Tomas continues to be involved with Bsmart.

Tomas Lestrup attended the University of Gothenburg from 1984 to 1986, and Skurups Lanbruksskola from 1976 to 1978, where they obtained a degree in farming.
