Obie Bryant Jr. started their work experience in 1992 as a Risk and Security Manager at Six Flags Over Georgia. Obie then worked as a Client Service Manager at Crawford & Company from 1998 to 1999. In 1999, they became the Security, LP and Safety Manager at Jazzland Theme Park. From 2002 to 2008, Obie worked as the Security Director at Turner Broadcasting - Omni CNN Center. Currently, they are the President of Bryant Safety and Security Solutions, LLC, starting from 2005.

Obie Bryant Jr. obtained a High School Diploma in General Studies from Memphis Catholic Middle and High School (Education That Works). Obie then pursued a BS degree in Business Management from Shorter University. In terms of additional certifications, Obie became a Board Certified Security Instructor from the Office of the Governor, State of Alabama in February 2019. Obie also obtained the same certification from the State of Tennessee in November 2018 and from the State of Georgia in June 2012.
