John Bayless currently serves as the Director of Sustainability Engineering Programs and Director of Strategic Programs at Brunswick Corporation, where leadership involves guiding the Brunswick Technology Council in developing innovative technologies for recreational marine engines and boats, as well as supporting corporate strategic initiatives. Previously, at Life Fitness, John Bayless was a Vice President responsible for a global product development and engineering team, successfully launching new IoT-enabled fitness equipment. John Bayless’s prior roles at Mercury Marine included General Manager of PLM Services and positions focused on strategy and product management, achieving significant revenue growth and maintaining a robust product launch schedule. Earlier experience includes serving as a Naval Flight Officer in the US Navy. Educational credentials include a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University, an MBA specializing in Strategy and Operations from the University of Michigan, and further professional education from MIT.
