Dela Avle is an experienced legal professional currently serving as General Counsel and previously as Senior Legal Counsel at Bruce Power, where responsibilities include corporate/commercial transactions and leading commercial strategy for the Major Component Replacement program. Additional roles include Board Member at the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, President of the Board for the Saugeen Rail Trail Association, and Executive Committee Member of the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association. Prior experience includes positions as an Associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, a Judicial Systems Monitor with the United Nations Mission in Liberia, and a Legal Policy Advisor at the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development. Dela Avle holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA (Magna Cum Laude) in English and American Literature with a minor in International Studies from Brandeis University.
