Dr. Cynthia Lopez

Dr. Cynthia Lopez has extensive experience in the educational sector, serving in various roles at Brownsville Independent School District since August 1997, including School Administrator, Dean of Instruction, Instructional Facilitator, Assistant Principal, and Classroom Teacher. Prior to this, Dr. Lopez worked as a Case Manager at WHISPERING PALMS NSG/DEVELOPEMENT CTR for a brief period in early 1997. Dr. Lopez holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at Brownsville and a Superintendent Certification from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Additional qualifications include a Principal Certification in Educational Administration and Supervision and a Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at Brownsville, along with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English and a Minor in History from The University of Texas at Brownsville and an Associate of Arts (AA) in Liberal Arts from Texas Southmost College.
