Anum Mesiya has a diverse work experience, starting from 2017. Anum worked as a Member in the Student Council Government from 2017 to 2018. Anum then took on the role of Mooting Secretary/Mistress of Moots at the Law School from an unspecified start date till June 2019. From August 2018 to June 2019, they held three different positions at ZABMUN, including Director Legal, Assistant Human Resources Director, and Trainer. In 2019, Anum became a University Lecturer of Law at L'ecole, where they taught until October 2021. During the same time, from October 2019 to October 2021, they also worked as an Associate/Advocate at Barrister Zahrah Sehr Vayani, and later as a Senior Associate/Advocate from June to August 2021. In June 2020, they served as a Youth Ambassador at UNDP for their Youth Empowerment Programme, and their assignment ended in December 2020. Anum Mesiya joined Harvard Law School in December 2021 as a Teaching Fellow until February 2022, and as a Research Assistant from February to May 2022. Anum was also the Executive Editor at the Harvard International Law Journal from February to May 2022. Currently, Anum works as a Law Clerk at Brown Rudnick LLP, starting in December 2022. Additionally, they interned for the President of the Court at ICC Arbitration from October to November 2022.

Anum Mesiya's education history begins in 2001 when they enrolled at Froebel Education Centre. Anum completed their O Levels there and studied subjects related to Business/Commerce and Social Sciences until 2014. Following this, from 2014 to 2016, Anum attended Nixor College and pursued A levels with a focus on Commerce and Social Sciences.

In 2016, Anum Mesiya joined the University of London, where they studied Law and earned their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with honors in 2019. During their time there, their field of study was primarily Law.

Continuing their educational journey, Anum joined Harvard Law School in 2020 to pursue further specialization in International Law, Corporate Law, and Dispute Resolution. Anum is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) degree, which is expected to be ongoing.

In terms of additional certifications, Anum obtained the position of Advocate from the Karachi Bar Association in December 2020. Anum also obtained the status of Advocate Lower Courts from the Sindh Bar Council in September 2020. Additionally, they hold certifications in ICKK, Jessup, MUNIK, SAT, SZABMoot, and ZABMUN, although the specific details of these certifications are not provided.
