Chopper Kovach is an experienced audio engineer and production manager with over 41 years in the industry, specializing in FOH and monitor engineering. Currently, Chopper serves as a freelance audio engineer for multiple companies, including Gateway Studios & Production Services, Draughon Brothers Audio, and Palmetto Sound Works. Additionally, Chopper holds the position of stage manager and guitar tech for Smash Mouth Music Inc., and operates as the owner and chief engineer of Barking Dogs Studio, LLC. As the president of Raleighwood Sound, Chopper provides full audio and video production services for events. With a background as an instructor at Camp Jam LLC, Chopper educates students in audio engineering and recording techniques. Chopper's academic qualifications include degrees in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Physics from North Carolina State University.
