Mij Byram is an accomplished storyteller and teaching artist with extensive experience in engaging diverse audiences, particularly children and adults, through storytelling. Currently serving as a Teaching Artist at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts since January 2020, Mij has also been a Storyteller at Temple Beth El since January 2013, focusing on entertaining and educating young children aged 2 to 5. With a storytelling career that began in 1995, Mij has led workshops for teachers and parents, demonstrating effective storytelling techniques to foster literacy and imagination. Previous roles include Storyteller and Play Facilitator at Saint Andrew's School and various positions at the Broward Center and Florence Fuller Child Development Center, promoting character building and reading skills through an array of storytelling methods. Mij holds a Bachelor's degree in Children's Creative Play from Dominican College.
