Amna Qayyum currently serves as a Fellow in the Global Economy and Development program at The Brookings Institution since January 2023. Previously, Amna was a Visiting Research Scholar at Yale University's Jackson School of Global Affairs from September 2021 to December 2022. Amna's academic journey includes a Doctorate from Princeton University, where Amna was also a Teaching and Curriculum Development Fellow, an Administrative Fellow, and a Conference and Workshop Coordinator. Additional roles include Policy Advisor in the Government of Pakistan's National Security Division and a Research Fellow in a World Bank Group initiative. Amna's early career featured positions with various organizations, including the Fulbright Program and the US Commission on International Religious Freedom. Academically, Amna holds an M.A. in History from Tufts University and a B.A. in Economics and History from Connecticut College, graduating summa cum laude.
