Matt Burgess has extensive experience in financial management and operations, currently serving as Plant Controller at Broadwind since October 2018. Prior to this role, Matt held various leadership positions at Carolina Sunrock LLC, including General Manager of Asphalt, Concrete, and Transportation, where responsibilities included full P&L oversight and participation in cross-functional stakeholder initiatives. Matt's earlier roles include Corporate Controller, Financial Controller, and Operations Controller, with notable experience at INC Research in overseeing accounting teams and managing financial due diligence for acquisitions. Matt began a professional journey at IBM, where multiple progressive roles were held, setting the foundation for a successful finance career after earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business.
