Zeke Kalmes is a data engineer at Broadleaf Software. Prior to joining Broadleaf, Zeke interned at Redbud Roots, where they worked with sales, marketing, cultivation, and the C-suite to find and analyze business problems. Zeke also helped figure out core KPI’s and metrics, and how to attain proper data to analyze them. Zeke has experience integrating API’s of Facebook, LeafLink, BroadLeaf, and other software using Python in order to analyze business data collected by outside sources. Additionally, they have optimized and rewritten current Microsoft SQL Server schemas and built predictive models and PowerBI dashboards for ordering packaging and cultivation materials. Zeke has also performed sentiment analysis of social media engagement.

Before working in the data engineering field, Zeke was a data entry specialist at AdCo Advertising Agency, where they handled sensitive data in order to create client accounts. Zeke also worked as a junior sous chef at Black Band Distillery and as a lacrosse coach at Titans Elite Lacrosse Club. Zeke’s first job was as a maintenance specialist at JP Development.

Zeke Kalmes has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Data Science from Illinois Wesleyan University.
