D.Y. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They started their career as an Operations Manager, Public Relations at Ashton Meadows in 2001. They then transitioned to GUESS?, Inc. as a Co Manager and worked there until 2007. From 2007 to 2013, they owned their own business as an Owner, Immigration Consultant at GlobeCan Immigration Inc. D.Y. then worked as an Account Manager at RBC from 2011 to 2013. Finally, they joined BroadGrain Commodities Inc. in 2014, where they held positions of increasing responsibility, including Manager, Senior Manager, and currently Director of Human Resources.

D.Y. completed the Executive Leadership Program at the Ivey Business School at Western University in 2015. From 2005 to 2007, they pursued a Post Graduate Degree in Dispute Resolution (Mediation/Arbitration) at York University. They also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (BHRM) and an HR Certificate from York University between 2001 and 2005. In 2007-2008, D.Y. completed a Post Grad Degree in Immigration at Humber College.
