Shannon Sawyer is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in high-speed I/O and signal integrity across multiple companies. Currently a Principal Engineer at Broadcom Inc. since February 2016, Shannon specializes in the debug and characterization of Enterprise Networking SerDes IP as part of the SerDes Validation team. Previous roles include Technical Lead at Avago Technologies and Intel Corporation, focusing on validation for Enterprise Networking ASICs and CPUs, respectively. With a foundation in R&D from both Agilent and Avago, as well as earlier work in manufacturing development at Hewlett-Packard, Shannon has contributed significantly to the design and validation of various electronic systems. An alumnus of Stanford University and California Polytechnic State University, Shannon also served honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard as an Aircrew Navigator and Avionics Technician, earning a Top Secret clearance and participating in significant military operations and ceremonies.
