Tom Haywood, CFA has extensive experience in venture capital and investment management. Tom is currently the Director of Direct Investments at British Patient Capital, where they oversee deals and investments. Prior to this, Tom worked as a Venture Capital Investor at Foresight Group, focusing on deeptech companies. Tom also held positions at O2, EcoMachines Ventures, Puridify, Deutsche Bank, and Deloitte, gaining expertise in business development, equity research, and accounting.

Tom Haywood, CFA has a diverse education history. Tom started their education at Dragon School Oxford from 1993 to 1999 and then attended Winchester College from 1999 to 2004. Tom went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Classics from UCL, where they studied from 2005 to 2008.

Later, Tom earned their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from the University of Oxford, which they completed between 2011 and 2012. In 2013, they attended the London Business School, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree for two years until 2015.

Furthermore, Tom is a CFA Charterholder, having obtained this certification in 2012 from the CFA Institute. During the same year, they also briefly attended the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, for their second MBA.
