Shoneez Rugan is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Senior Counsel at British International Investment since March 2023. Previously, Shoneez held positions as Managing Associate and Associate at Linklaters from February 2018 to February 2023. Additionally, Shoneez worked as Legal Counsel (Secondee) at INEOS from November 2019 to December 2020, and as a Partner and Attorney at Webber Wentzel from November 2012 to 2018. Shoneez also had a secondee role in the Projects team at Linklaters in 2016. Earlier in the career, Shoneez worked as an Attorney at Bowman Gilfillan from July 2010 to October 2012 and as an Attorney at Webber Wentzel from January 2008 to July 2010. Shoneez holds a Master’s degree in Oil & Gas from the University of Reading (2015-2017) and an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand (2004-2007).
