Amanda Phillipson is an experienced professional in the fields of lifelong learning and heritage education, currently serving as Lifelong Learning Manager at Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust since September 2019. With a strong background in cycling education as a Ride Leader and Route Planner for British Cycling since September 2012, Amanda is also a qualified National Standards Cycling Instructor, teaching adults cycling skills under the Bikeability scheme. As a Sandford Judge for the Heritage Education Trust since 2007, Amanda assesses museums and heritage sites for educational quality. Prior experience includes managing formal learning programs for Stockport Council from November 2003 to September 2019. Amanda holds a Master’s Degree in Medieval Archaeology from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor’s Degree in Historical Studies from Goldsmiths, University of London.
