Mahmoud Badawi, CMA, has extensive experience in financial management and project leadership, currently serving as Tax and Strategy Manager at the British Council since November 2012. In this role, Mahmoud oversees the Egypt Status project, ensuring alignment with the MENA strategy and corporate requirements. Previously, Mahmoud held positions as Regional Financial Controller for the Egypt Cluster and Head of Finance, where responsibilities included managing accounting processes across multiple countries and supporting strategic financial operations. Prior experience includes serving as Finance Director and Finance Manager at AMIDEAST Egypt, focusing on financial compliance and accuracy for USAID funded projects. Mahmoud's educational background includes a CMA certification from the Institute of Management Accountants and a degree in Accounting from Ain Shams University.
