Nicola Pearson is an accomplished communication leader with extensive experience in the media and corporate sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at British Airways since December 2011, Nicola oversees external and internal communications, media relations, and social media teams. Previous roles at British Airways include Head of Global Corporate and Internal Communications and Head of Global News and Corporate Communications, focusing on media relations and sustainability communications. Prior to British Airways, Nicola held various positions at BBC News from 1999 to 2011, including TV News Correspondent, where notable coverage included significant investigations. Nicola holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and a degree in English and Media Studies from the University of Sussex, along with CIPR qualifications obtained in 2017.
