Elspeth Carnan, PhD, currently serves as Vice President at Bristol Myers Squibb since October 2023. Previously, Elspeth held the position of Senior Vice President of Clinical Development Operations at Alkermes, overseeing phase 1 to phase 3 clinical trials in Neuroscience and Oncology. At Regeneron, Elspeth was Vice President of Clinical Trial Management & Global Monitoring, managing the operational execution of various clinical programs. Elspeth's prior experience includes significant roles at EMD Serono, Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, and Amgen, where responsibilities ranged from strategic sourcing and vendor management to leading global clinical operations across multiple therapeutic areas. Elspeth began the career at GSK, where leadership of a clinical development team was a key achievement. Elspeth holds an Executive MBA from Queen's University, a PhD in physiology from Newcastle University, and a BSc Hons in physiology from the University of Glasgow.
