Majid Hussain

Director Energy & Infrastructure at Brillanz Group

Majid Hussain has extensive work experience in various roles related to HSE (health, safety, and environment), sustainability, and construction management. Majid is currently the Director of Operations at Brillanz Group, where they lead the Clean-Energy-as-a-Service BU for decarbonization of Telecom infrastructure. In this role, they are responsible for end-to-end project delivery, company operations, and preparing business cases and bids. Prior to this, they worked at Ooredoo Qatar as the Assistant Director of HSE, where they established and maintained HSE/Sustainability strategies, policies, and frameworks. Majid also developed a culture of safety and provided guidance on HSE and sustainability. Before that, they worked at Telenor in various roles, including HSE/Sustainability Manager, Assistant Manager of HSE/Sustainability, and Assistant Manager of Construction & Facility Management. At Telenor, they focused on establishing safe working environments, developing HSE strategies and policies, training programs, and implementing HSE management systems. Majid also managed construction projects, facility operations and maintenance, and land/site acquisition. Additionally, Majid has experience working as a Construction Engineer at Nokia, where they managed telecom site construction and ensured compliance with HSE requirements, and at MEC Engineering Company Limited, where they prepared drawings, coordinated with project teams and contractors, and provided progress reporting.

Majid Hussain completed their education at the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila. Majid obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from 2000 to 2003. Later, they pursued their Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from 2006 to 2010 from the same university. Additionally, Majid Hussain has obtained several certifications in Health & Safety, Environmental Management System, Occupational Health and Safety Management System, Energy Management System, Health & Safety Management System, Project Management, Social Accountability Management System, and Train the Trainer.
