Steven Brooks has a solid background in technical writing and online help development. Steven began their career in 2002 as a self-employed renewable energy contractor, specializing in PV array installation and software configuration. Steven then worked as an owner and user documentation expert for Assist Tree Inc, providing documentation expertise to software companies. Steven also worked as a technical writer for Schneider Electric, where they developed software documentation and coordinated document publication with multiple teams. Steven has experience as an online help developer for both Briljent and Dynamics Research Corporation. Additionally, they have worked as a contract writer for various companies, including Tanner Corporate Services, ADS Environmental Services, TruVote International, and Aquracy Corporation.

Steven Brooks attended the University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH) from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained a degree in English Literature. During their time at UAH, they also studied Studio Art and Technical Writing.
