Alasdair Maclay is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy, investment, and development across various sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at GSG Impact since October 2019, Alasdair co-founded and directs Briisk, a global InsurTech business operating in South Africa, Turkey, and the UK, beginning in February 2016. Prior experience includes a significant role as Director of Strategy & Development at Rhodes House from May 2014 to September 2019, focused on expanding partnerships for the Rhodes Trust and Scholarships. Additionally, Alasdair spent over a decade at Actis, leading fundraising and investment initiatives in private equity and energy sectors, after starting as an Investment Manager at Sovereign Capital and an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. Alasdair holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA in Russian & Czech Literature from the University of Oxford.
