Mike Watson, Jr. has a diverse work experience in the field of database administration and IT support. Mike started their career at Anthology Inc in 2007 as a System Administrator I, providing IT support to clients hosting their own infrastructure. Mike then advanced to the role of System Administrator II and later became the Technical Team Lead for the Client Services Support department.

In 2013, Mike transitioned to the role of Database Administrator - Client Services, where they managed SQL Server instances for the Support department and served as an escalation point for SQL Server issues affecting self-hosted customers. Mike also provided training and wrote documentation on SQL Server.

From 2014 to 2017, Mike worked as a Database Administrator - Hosting Services at Anthology Inc. Mike managed a large number of SQL Servers and databases, utilizing replication services and various tools for migration projects and implementation of new security models.

In 2018, Mike was promoted to the role of Senior Database Administrator - Hosting Services. In this role, they oversaw the administration of a wide range of SQL Servers and databases hosted in Azure, VMware VMs, and physical servers. Mike also served as the project and development lead for various optimization and migration initiatives.

In 2021, Mike joined Bang Energy as a Senior Database Administrator, where they continued to utilize their expertise in managing databases. Then in 2022, they joined BrightStar Care as a Senior Database Administrator and Architect, further enhancing their skills in database administration and architecture.

Mike Watson, Jr. earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Auburn University, having attended from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their degree, they obtained a CCNA certification from Cisco in April 2012.
