Billie Sanders has extensive work experience in the fitness and wellness industry. Billie began their career at The Fitness Store in 1995 as an Educational Coordinator, where they were responsible for staff CPR certification and providing instruction to commercial clients on product selection and usage.
In 2000, Billie joined Sinclair Community College as Chairperson/Professor of Exercise, Wellness, and Sport Science. Billie held this position until 2015, while also serving as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Dayton from 2000 to 2015.
In 2013, they took on the role of a Wellness Coach, providing guidance and support to individuals in achieving their wellness goals. Billie continued this role at BrightStar Care in 2015 as part of their Human Resources team.
Billie's passion for movement led their to become a Nia and Pilates Instructor at Blossoming Soul Yoga & Integrative Wellness from 2016 to 2020. Billie focused on energizing the body and expanding the mind through the Joy of Movement in Nia and strengthening and elongating the body in Pilates.
Most recently, Billie joined Keowee Key Fitness and Racquet Center in 2021 as a Pilates Reformer instructor. Prior to that, they were a Nia, Pilates/Barre, TRX, and Spinning Instructor at Keowee Key Fitness and Racquet Club starting in 2018.

Billie Sanders has a strong educational background in the field of exercise and health studies. They began their academic journey at Sinclair Community College, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Physical Education between 1990 and 1992. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from the University of Dayton, graduating between 1992 and 1994. Billie then went on to complete a Master's Degree in Exercise and Health Studies at Miami University from 1994 to 1996.
In addition to their formal education, Billie has also obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. They became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness) in 1990. They further expanded their qualifications by becoming a Group Fitness Instructor through ACE Fitness in 1989. In 2004, Billie obtained another Certified Personal Trainer certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. They also became a Wellcoaches Health and Wellness Coach through the same institution in 2013.
Furthermore, Billie has pursued additional training and certifications in various specialized areas. They have certifications as a BLS Instructor from the American Heart Association, a Breath AS Medicine Breath Coach from Ed Harrold, and a Cancer Exercise Specialist from the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute at the University of Northern Colorado. They also hold certifications as a Certified Nia White Belt from Nia Technique and a Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Coach from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Finally, Billie has completed the Exercise is Medicine Credential Level 1 through the American College of Sports Medicine, further showcasing their commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
