Andrew Cook has more than 30 years of work experience in various roles related to network architecture, engineering, and technology planning. Andrew is currently employed as the Principal Network Architect at Brightspeed since June 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Systems Engineer at Casa Systems, Inc. from September 2021 to June 2022. From 2006 to 2021, Andrew worked at CenturyLink in roles such as Principal Architect, Manager of IP & Ethernet Technology Planning, Senior IP & Ethernet Technology Architect, and Technology Architect III. Before joining CenturyLink, they held the position of Principal Network Engineer at Sprint from February 2000 to May 2006. Additionally, Andrew was the Owner/Partner of Small Business Computer Systems from January 1996 to June 2000 and worked as a Senior Network Engineer at Hitter Communications from September 1998 to February 2000. Andrew also served in the US Army as a 98G from 1991 to 1995.
Andrew Cook earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of South Florida in 1996. Andrew went on to complete a Master's in Business Administration at Florida State University from 2003 to 2006. In addition to their degrees, they obtained certifications as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in Microsoft Windows 2000 in an unknown year, and in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 in 1997. Andrew also received a CCIE certification in Routing and Switching from Cisco in September 2002.
