Shimon Cornfeld has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. In 2006, they started working as a counselor at Keren Or, Inc., where they provided physical and emotional support to blind and severely disabled individuals. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Workshop Technician at ArtiFactory, where they trained students and customers on implementing concepts in a physical manner. At Beit Hatzabarit, from 2013 to 2016, Shimon served as a counselor for at-risk adolescent teen girls, supporting them through a process of rehabilitation. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Quality Inspector at Kal Calibre Mechanics Ltd., ensuring precision and adherence to standards in product testing. Currently, Shimon is employed at BrightSource Energy since 2019, initially as a Product Engineer and now as the Product Engineering Team Leader, overseeing configuration management and product knowledge while considering customer requirements and changing standards.
Shimon Cornfeld completed their education at several institutions, focusing on art and engineering. From 2020 to 2022, they attended Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, where they earned a Master of Design (M.Des) degree in Industrial and Product Design with a specialization in Design and Technology. Prior to that, they studied at Jerusalem College of Engineering from 2013 to 2017, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Shimon's education journey began at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design from 2007 to 2011, where they completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree, specializing in Glass and Ceramics.
