Morgan Oakes has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. They started their career as an Art Instructor at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in 2006, where they worked until 2010. After that, they worked as a Lead Teacher at Ambassador Bilingual School from 2011 to 2012. Following this, they worked as a Behavioral Therapist at Rehab Without Walls- BMAC from 2012 to 2013. They then transitioned to Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST) as an Advanced Behavior Specialist from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they joined The Academy for Precision Learning as a Paraprofessional, eventually becoming a Lead Teacher from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they joined You Grow Girl! as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist until 2019. Subsequently, they worked as a Teaching Artist at the Seattle Art Museum from 2019 to 2020. They then worked as a Residential Therapist at Navos from 2019 to 2020. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Mental Health Therapist at Atlantic Street Center. Currently, they are employed as a Mental Health Therapist at Brightline, starting in November 2021.

Morgan Oakes obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they attended Northeastern University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art/Art Studies, General and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
