Gary Smith, CPA has over 30 years of experience in financial accounting and management. Gary has held various senior roles in well-known companies such as Brightline Trains, Loews Hotels, GE Capital, Sirius XM Radio Inc., American Express, Ernst & Young, and Bond Beebe Certified Public Accountants. In their most recent role as Chief Accounting Officer at Brightline Trains, Gary was responsible for overseeing all financial accounting aspects, including corporate financial reporting and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. Prior to that, they served as SVP, Corporate Controller at Loews Hotels, where they managed the company's financial operations. Gary also held several roles at GE Capital, including Global Technical & Operational Controller (Real Estate) and Senior Manager of Technical Advisory (Real Estate), where they provided accounting advisory support and implemented new accounting standards. Throughout their career, Gary has demonstrated strong expertise in financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and team management.

Gary Smith, CPA obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington, from 1984 to 1989. Gary also holds additional certifications including a Certificate-level IFRS from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, obtained in May 2008, and became a Certified Public Accountant through the State of Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in November 1990.
