Alexandra Levin is responsible for Brightline’s capital markets and financing activities, including investor relations. The finance team has executed multiple transactions for Brightline’s Florida and West projects, including private activity bonds and taxable debt securities with a global investor base.
Prior to joining Brightline in 2020, Alex was a director at Citi, where she held various roles from 2004 to 2020. Alex served within Citi’s municipal securities division debt capital markets group, which leverages technology and data to better connect municipal investors with issuers during the new issue process, in addition to providing market intelligence and solutions around key priorities such as ESG and infrastructure. Alex also managed Citi Community Capital’s Strategic Investments platform for nine years and was responsible for all social impact private equity investing on behalf of the bank. Through the strategic investments business, Citi invested $1.3 billion of equity into innovative, high impact funds and partnerships across the United States, generating market returns and measurable social and environmental impact in a wide range of sectors including affordable housing, educational facilities, healthcare, clean tech and economic development. Alex’s work leading the strategic investments team included originating and negotiating new investment partnerships and creating new investment sectors for the bank. Alex also worked on Citi’s distressed municipal bond trading desk, where she was involved in creating and executing work-outs of distressed municipal projects, including affordable housing, land, power plants, and office buildings.
Alex graduated cum laude from Harvard with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a citation in Russian. She is active in a number of local boards and charities.
