Ed Garner has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ed currently works as the Director of Technology and Innovation at BrightLeaf Group, a position they have held since December 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Engineer at Minderbinder Stuff and Things, LLC starting from December 2016.

Ed's longest tenure was at Enspire, Inc., where they served as the Vice President of the Custom Business division from September 2008 to April 2016. Earlier in their career, Ed worked at Human Code / Sapient Corporation as a Programmer and later as the Director of the Learning Technology Group. During their time there from May 1998 to October 2001, they focused on software design and management for clients in various industries, including Disney, Scholastic Publishing, and Hasbro. Ed also worked on projects such as the smart toy Redbeard's Pirate Quest.

Ed's professional journey began as an Embedded System Software Developer at Motorola from May 1997 to May 1998.

Throughout their career, Ed has gained expertise in technology, innovation, project management, software development, and leadership.

Ed Garner attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1990 to 1995 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Soviet / East European Studies and Computer Science. In 1994, they also attended the US Army Airborne School for a brief period. In 1995, they completed the US Army Armor Officer Basic Course. Additionally, in 1996, they attended the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute for studies in the Russian Language.
