José Pedro has a diverse and extensive work experience. José started their career at Logicentro, Lda in 1998 as a Tecnico Software. In 2004, they co-founded Deskcenter, lda and played a key role in the company until 2010. From 2008 to 2017, they owned and operated Openside, lda. In 2017, they joined TV App Agency as a CMS Team Leader, where they worked until 2019. Currently, they are employed at Brightcove, where they worked as a Lead Software Engineer from 2019 to 2022. José Pedro has recently taken on a new role as a Senior Manager - Engineering at Brightcove.

José Pedro attended Escola Sec. Jose Saramago from 1992 to 1994, but it is unknown if they obtained any degree or pursued any field of study during this period. Later, from 1994 to 1999, they enrolled at Universidade da Beira Interior, where they completed a degree in Lic Eng. Informática, Pós-Bolonha. Their field of study initially focused on Mamática/Informática and was later narrowed down to Eng. Informática. Additionally, José Pedro possesses an EF SET English Certificate with a score of 76/100 (C2 Proficient), obtained from EF Standard English Test (EF SET), although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
