Avishai Shafir has a broad range of experience in product management and marketing roles in the technology industry. Avishai is currently serving as the Vice President of Product Management at Bright, a security testing platform that integrates into CI/CD pipelines. Prior to this, they were the Director of Product Management at Salt Security, where they led a team focused on vulnerabilities and cyber-attack detection using machine learning. Avishai has also held Director of Product Management positions at PerimeterX, Lumigo, and Cellebrite, where they played key roles in developing application security solutions and mobile forensics technology. Additionally, they served as the Director of Product Marketing at Tufin, Panaya, and Magic Software Enterprises, specializing in product roadmaps, market research, and go-to-market strategies. Avishai has a strong background in leading teams and driving product adoption, value-based usage, and customer satisfaction.
Avishai Shafir's education history begins in 1987 when they attended Bar-Ilan University, where they studied Computer Science until 1989. During this time, they did not obtain a degree. In 1989, they enrolled in the Israeli Naval Academy, where they received a Naval Officer degree.
After a break from education, Avishai resumed their studies in 1994 at Bar-Ilan University. Avishai pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics & Marketing, which they completed in 1996. In 1999, they decided to further their education and attended The College of Management Academic Studies, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Business Strategy & Information Technologies in 2001.
Aside from their formal education, Avishai Shafir has also obtained additional certifications. In 2018, they completed a certification course titled "Learning Cloud Computing: Serverless Computing" at LinkedIn. In 2020, they obtained the "Selling to Executives" certification from LinkedIn. More recently, in October 2021, they completed a course called "Product Manifesto" at Product School.
