Liam Lachner has worked in various roles for different companies over the years. In 2010, they started as a Food Server at Rockaway Seafood Company, where they ensured that customers were satisfied with their dining experience. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Security Guard at Breezy Point Surf Club, where they facilitated a safe environment for club patrons. In 2017, they became a Program Educator at Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability & Equity, overseeing and leading youth during various activities. Liam also worked as a Groundskeeper at Aviator Sports and Events Center, maintaining the grounds and equipment. In 2019, they were a City Park Worker at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, conducting site visits and performing maintenance on green infrastructure. Liam then worked as a Seasonal Laborer for the National Park Service in 2020, performing grounds maintenance and equipment operation. From 2020 to 2021, they held various roles at Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability & Equity, including NYC Civic Corps Member and Community Outreach Coordinator, Farm Share Manager, and Community Outreach Coordinator. Currently, they are a Project Associate at Bright Power, Inc., where they manage large multifamily projects pursuing green building certification and advises on decarbonization and sustainability strategies.

Liam Lachner obtained their Bachelor's of Science degree in Sustainable Energy Management from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. In 2022, they also earned a Certificate of Completion in Project Management from the Project Management Training Institute (PMTI).
