Jeff J Scherman has extensive work experience in accounting and finance. Jeff J is currently the Chief Accounting Officer at Bright Health, where they lead various functions such as accounting, SEC reporting, internal audit, and tax. Since joining in 2020, they have played a significant role in building the company's controllership function to help bring the company public.

Prior to Bright Health, Jeff worked at Ameriprise Financial, Inc. from 2016 to 2020 as Vice President and CFO. In this role, they were responsible for leading the accounting, reporting, and financial analysis of multibillion-dollar financial statements, primarily related to Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. and American Enterprise Investment Services, Inc.

Before that, Jeff held various roles at Ameriprise Financial from 2007 to 2020, including Vice President and Controller for Wealth Management, Banking, and Insurance. Jeff J led accounting, regulatory reporting, and financial controls for the company's business segments, including broker-dealer, banking, asset management, and life insurance subsidiaries.

Jeff's career also includes positions at Ameriprise Financial, Inc. as Director of Regulatory Reporting and Relationship Management, as well as Manager of Accounting Policy. Jeff J started their career as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young.

Furthermore, Jeff has a background in the United States Army, serving as a Platoon Leader and Battalion Staff Officer from 1992 to 1996.
