Barbara Ely is an experienced education professional currently serving as the Senior Coordinator for Learning & Evaluation at Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics/The Art of Problem Solving Initiative, Inc. since September 2018. In this role, Barbara designs and manages data collection and evaluation processes for various programs. Previously, as a Program Coordinator, Barbara led the admissions process for 1,500 applicants and managed partnerships with 38 NYC schools. Barbara's teaching experience includes working as a Math Teacher at Hunter's Point Community Middle School, where responsibilities involved teaching 6th and 8th grade math and modifying curriculum content. Additional experiences include roles at Math for America, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Museum of Mathematics, and Mathnasium. Barbara holds a Graduate Certificate in Program Evaluation, a Master's Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, and a BA in Drama and Mathematics.
