Joann Skoufis has a wide range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Starting in 1995, they worked as an RNC and IBCLC at Kaiser Permanente until 2011. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Clinica Sierra Vista, followed by a similar role at Childrens Medical Centers from 2017 to 2020. In 2020, they worked as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner on a self-employed basis. From 2021 to 2023, they worked as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at HR Support. In 2022 and 2023, they worked at Community Health System as a Case Manager and Care Management professional, gaining education and training in the field. Most recently, in 2023, they joined Bridge Home Health & Hospice as a Health Home Care Manager.
Joann Skoufis has a diverse education history that spans several decades. Between 1974 and 1979, they attended California State University, Fresno, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. During this time, they also became certified as a Neonatology Registered Nurse through the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
In 1997 and 1998, Joann Skoufis studied at UCLA, specializing in lactation consulting and obtaining a Lactation Consultant certification. In 2002, they returned to California State University, Fresno to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, along with a School Health Nurse Credential in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Joann successfully completed their MSN in 2005.
In 2013, Joann Skoufis attended the National Laser Institute, where they received credentials in basic and advanced Medical Aesthetics, including Botox and dermal fillers. Joann further expanded their expertise in the field of Medical Aesthetics.
Throughout their career, Joann Skoufis has also obtained additional certifications. In 1979, they became certified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) through the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE). Furthermore, in 2015, they obtained certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from CSUF Nursing.
Joann Skoufis has demonstrated a commitment to lifelong learning, continually expanding their knowledge and skills in various areas of nursing, lactation consulting, pediatrics, and medical aesthetics.
