Maritza Carmona is a seasoned professional in government and external affairs, currently serving as the Senior Director of Government and External Affairs at BRIC, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this role, Maritza was with Friends of the High Line from June 2015 to September 2022, where responsibilities included Associate Director of Government and Community Affairs and Government and Community Relations Manager. Earlier experience includes serving as the Community and Government Affairs Coordinator at El Museo del Barrio from March 2013 to June 2015. Maritza holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Political Science from Queens College and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from Baruch College.
