Roger Byrd

Associate Professor, Director Of Prison Programs at Brewton-Parker College

Roger Byrd, EdD, MPA, MSCJ, serves as an Associate Professor and Director of Prison Programs at Brewton-Parker College since 2007, teaching a variety of courses in Political Science and Criminal Justice. In addition, Roger holds the position of Director of Development at East Georgia State College and has acted as a part-time Professor of Political Science at Oconee Fall Line Technical College until 2020. Prior to these roles, Roger held several significant positions within the Georgia General Assembly, including House Messenger, Chief of Staff for the Office of Speaker, and State Representative. Roger's educational background includes a Doctor of Education from Valdosta State University, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Georgia Southern University, a Master of Public Administration from Valdosta State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Program Management from the Leadership Excellence Academy.
