Jon Burr has extensive work experience in various roles within the sports and community sectors. Jon currently works at Brentford Football Club, where they have held positions such as Head of Community Operations and Community and Safeguarding Manager. Prior to joining Brentford FC in 2019, Jon served as the Diversity and Inclusion Manager at the club. Before their time at Brentford FC, Jon worked at Swim Safety Ltd as a Team Leader starting in 2015. Jon also had a long tenure at Surrey FA, where they held the positions of Strategic Lead Women and Girls Football and Football Development Officer. Jon served as the Strategic Lead Women and Girls Football from 2016 to 2019, and as a Football Development Officer from 2009 to 2016.
Jon Burr attended Sheffield Hallam University where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Outdoor Recreation Management. Jon also studied at Richmond upon Thames College, where they obtained a GNVQ degree in Leisure and Tourism with a specialization in Sport. In addition to their formal education, Jon Burr has obtained certifications as a BCU Level 2 Paddlesport Coach from the British Canoeing Awarding Body and as an FA Level 2 Coaching Football.
